Weyrlingmaster A'dret
Persona's Name: A'dret Location: Zakat Weyr Status: RNPC - Adoptable, Replaceable, Free for Use with Permission Rank: Weyrlingmaster Former Rank: Wingrider Gender: Male Age: 27 Birthplace: Fort Weyr Father: Bronzerider, Wingleader Mother: Goldrider
Appearance:Born of a well-built, handsome father and beautiful mother, A'dret has inherited the grace and looks of both parents. Muscular, but sleekly built, the attractive brownrider is what's often called the "perfect male specimen" by the women of the Weyr. Of all his striking features, A'dret's eyes are the first ones noticed by any female. The color of a pure, crisp northern sea, they are expressive and convey a flawless doleful mood when A'dret has a mind to make a dramatic impact on a woman.
Sandy brown hair frames a face with fine features. A'dret's skin has tanned to a dark, even shade in the South, and contrasts the sharp blue of his eyes and the white of his smile. Broad-shouldered and well-muscled from a dragonrider's work, A'dret's frame is usually clothed (perhaps to the chagrin of his admirers) by loose fitting clothes which can be easily compressed under the weight of riding gear. Luckily for those admirers though, the brownrider leaves his shirt unbuttoned on hot days, which occur rather frequently at Zakat Weyr.Personality:
A'dret is a nice, average guy. Somehow he didn't turn out stuck up despite of his birth and looks, though he is of a good opinion of himself. He is compassionate and caring, and is always there to help his friends or those under his charge. He likes to have his fun, a female companion or a game of dragonpoker with friends, but he's responsible when it comes to duty. He never joined those bronzeriders and few brownriders ready to kill over rank, though he did transfer to Zakat Weyr for its opportunities and general liberal flavor. It made him feel like he was truly a major part of an exciting, tangible system. Plus, one could never be bored there or lack in entertainments.
History:
A'dret has an untroubled past, though once a rumor of one too many piqued lovers, jealous rivals, and unclaimed children went around Zakat Weyr as the reason for the dragonrider's transfer South. He grew up as a carefree weyrbrat, though he worked hard on his studies and work, trying to live up to expectations inspired and encouraged by his parents' names. His foster mother raised him well to be an honest, thoughtful man. He was kind by nature and childhood at a Weyr brought out a mischievous streak. Never quite ambitious enough, he didn't make it to Wingsecond at an early age, nor found that such a bad thing. He liked to help lead the Wing but didn't want the all-free-time consuming duties that came with such rank.
Recently, Weyrleader R'ven came to A'dret with an offer he didn't particularly wish to take, but couldn't really refuse. Somewhat disgruntled by his new position as Weyrling Master, the former Wing fighter nevertheless quickly became quite fond of the Candidates. The position meant leaving his Wing, but R'ven did promise to let A'dret fly Fall with the Lower Flight provided he attended all the Drills, once the weyrlings were old enough not to be bothered by Fall.
Dragon's Name: Wraith Dragon's Color: Brown Dragon's Age: 12 Dam/Sire: Transfer (Fort Weyr)
Appearance:Vain and beautiful, Wraith resembles his rider in all but practicality. Well shaped and slender, but not spindly, the brown is a deep, black-brown color. Wraith's hide does not bare the scars of any major Scores, but his left shoulder has pale, thin traces running along it from a minor incident.
Personality:
Wraith is very aloof and impersonal, except, of course, to his rider. He's quite certain he has a bronze's intelligence as well as far more beauty. He believes he deserves a gold and never misses a gold's flight, though he likes to chase a green or two occasionally.
He adores little hatchlings, crooning over them as if he was a gold until the indignant young dragons make their escape. Of course he tends to act otherwise when scrutinized by other dragons. Looking over the young ones is an activity he enjoys, though he's thoroughly unhappy about being grounded for some of the Falls.
