General Information

Far inland, Icundsa Weyr and Aedalu Hold have few natural disasters to fear. In the winter, however, there is always a great risk of and avalanche starting, often with fatal results. Winter is extremely cold, with temperatures dropping well below 0構 at night. The passes are otfen closed in the winter due to the harsh and potentially life threatening conditions, the only way out of the Weyr and Hold being by dragonback.

Perquiso Weyr is located in more temperate weather ranges and favoured by many crafts as a base of operations in Icundsa territory.

Seasons

Seasons on Pern's Southern Continent are similar to those in the southern hemisphere on Earth. Pern has 13 months to a Turn, each with 28 days of 25 hours each. Icundsa territory has a range of weather types. Perquiso Hold and its Halls have a pleasent climate that does not change much throughout the course of the Turn. Icundsa Weyr and Aedalu Hold's weather ranges from a mild summer to a freezing winter.
